Privacy Policy
Last updated July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Locust Dental Group (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information collected through our website at locustdentalgroup.com (the “Site”).
Information We Collect
- Appointment and contact requests. When you ask for an appointment or send us a question, we collect what you type: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, whether you are a new or current patient, the general reason for your visit, your preferred times, your insurance carrier if you share it, and your message.
- Smile Check requests. The free clear aligner Smile Check asks for your name, phone, email, the patient’s age if you choose to share it, and what you would like to change about your smile.
- Chat and Listen. If you use the chat assistant, the messages you type are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. If you use Listen, the text being read aloud is sent to our voice provider. Neither feature is a place for health information, and the assistant will point you to a phone call for anything medical.
- Basic usage data. Our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate region, used to keep the Site working.
How We Use Information
- To respond to appointment requests, questions, and Smile Check requests.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the Site: our hosting and form provider (Netlify), which delivers your form submissions to our front desk, and text notification service if the office has enabled it; our AI provider for chat replies; our voice provider for Listen; and Google, which supplies the reviews and map shown on the Site. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Health Information
This Site is not a patient portal and does not collect medical records. New patient paperwork is completed through our secure patient portal, which we send you once your visit is booked, or on paper at the office. Please keep health details out of website forms and chat; a phone call to the office is the right place for those. Your patient records are handled by the practice under its own privacy practices and applicable law.
Cookies & Analytics
With your consent, this Site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use it, through heatmaps and session replays. Clarity only loads if you accept cookies in our consent banner; if you decline, it never runs. You can learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We also use a small local storage entry to remember your consent choice.
Your Choices
- You can decline non-essential cookies in the consent banner.
- You can ask us to correct or delete information you submitted through the Site by reaching out through our contact page.
